AUCKLAND, June 28.

• The barque Quathlamba, which left Auckland on June 17tli in ballast for Knipara, has put back dismasted. The day after s.iiling she encountered * a westerly gale, with high seas, off Cape Brett, and the heavy rolling caused the foictopmast to break off. All the- spars and gear fell on the deck and were saved. The gale lasted till Wednesday last, the vessel boing hovc-to most of the time. The hull has sustained no damage. This is Captain Urquhart's first command.
