A irihn named Edward Masters, a rabbller, of Hasting, shot his wile and then attempted suicide. The pair have been separated for some time, aud he met his wife at the train arriving here from Napier at noon. They began an altercation jiear the station, when he dictv a revolver and fired at his wile, the bullet entering the upper and inner part ot her right arm, near the shoulder, lodging near the. l?it shoulder blade. The man then fired threw shots into the. air, and the last one at his head, the bullet entering into his skull above thts, right ear..
