Attempted Suicide.

' AUCKLAND, February- 4. William Windsor,' restaurant-keeper, quarrelled with his wife last night, and afterwards attempted to hang himself withtwo Bilk handkerchiefs. His wife, suspect- j ing his design, found hint- hanging and held him up <until he was cut' down. He waß then unconscious, and be restored by artificial respiration. ' Windsor pleaded guilty to a- charge of attempting suicide tb-'day, and was ofderea 1 to "come up for> sentence if called .upon.' A prohibition order was issued against him.
