Owing' to the discovery of a number of revolutionary pamphlets aboard warships at Sevastopol, the 'loaves were cut' open before distribution, revealing a proclamation. t 4 Maxime Gorky is still imprisoned in the fortress of Peter and' Paul, despite" the positive announcement that he has been releasod. He was arrested for inciting officers of the St. Petersburg garrison to join the martyred people, and not to oerve madmen who -were always shedding blood, and who were afraid to receive a petition, but sacrificed a whole-hearted, honest Russia.
