PARIS, January 29. M. Lcontieff, the Russian explorer whose mission to Abyssinia in 1901 created considerable excitement, has been awarded forty-five thousand francs damages against the Paris Biograph Mutoscope Company for refusing to take pictures representing Menelik's court. Leontieft" gave Menelik two qufbk-firers and forty thousand cartridges to induce him to pose" for the pictures.
