r Jhe usual fortnightly meeting of the AA'anganui Agricultural Association was held in the secretary's office last night, when there were piescnt — Messrs J. H. Nixon (in the chair), James Higgle, 11. E. F. Cholnicley, D. Mason, H. Speed, C. Burnett, G. McGregor, J. B. Murray. J. J. Taylor, C. Creswell, A. Burnett", J. T. Sinclair, Maxwell, Edgar, J. Dcmpscy, E. E. Fletcher.

The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, correspondence was dealt with. SHOW DATES. — In rcplv to a letter from . the secretary of the Ejimont Association, it was resolved that the matter of show dates be held over, pending the result of interview between the delegates and the committee of the Eo-niont Association. SUGGESTED SYLLABUS of Proposed Coxirse of Lectures and Demonstrations to Students \inder the auspices of local Societies. — 1 and 2. Anatomy and physiology of animals, with demonstrations. 3. Anatomy and physiolo — and diseases of horse's foot. 4. Lameness and unsoundness of horses. 5. Common diseases of cattle. 6. Common diseases of horses. 7. Tuberculosis and actinomcosis, and demonstrations. 8. Pregnance, abortion, and assistance' in calving and foaling. 9., Tho udder and its diseases. 10. Trouble and diseases following calving and foaling (milk fever, retention of cleansing, etc.). 11 Dentition of horse, cattle, sheep, and pigs. 12. Malformations and diseases of teeth. 13". Parasites of the horse, ox, sheep, and pigs : their effects, prevential and remedial measures.. 14 and 15. Diseases of Sheep: Blood-poisoning after shearing and marking, braxy-like disease, acute indigestion, antepartum paralvsic, prolapsus of vagina and womb, assistance in lambing, foot rot, dietetic errors, etc. VETERINARY LECTURES.— Mr Maxwel] Edgar was n-esent and explained the nurport of the lectures, and read a syllabus, which is griven above. It was proposed by Mr Bin'HPrr, seconded by Mr Crcswell. That th-s Association take up the suggestion of the Government on the lines indicated by Mr Edgar; that the fee be 10s 6d for members of the Association and one giiinea for non-members, and that the following gentlemen be a sub-committee to canvass for members and make all arrangemnnts in connection therewith, viz/: Messrs C. Creaswell, .G. McGregor. C. Burnett, J. B. Murray, and J. J." Taylor. If was resolved that the classes be held at 2.30 p m. on evorv alternate AA'edncsday. . PRINTING COAIMITTEE.— It was resolved, .That Messrs Cummins, Sinclair, and Nixon to? a printing committee. EULES. — It was resolved. That Messrs Blair, Speed, Siuclair. and Cummins bo a sub-enmmittee to revise rules.

MAORI AVOEK.— Mr George McGregor reported that on account of the Maoris being very murh occupied with political matters, he had not been able to do much i?^ regard to the, show of Mapri work,and asked that the; following gentlemen be asked to act as stewards to work up the exhibition viz.: — Messrs Sam AVoon. J. Baldwin,"Ronald Cameron. V AA'. E. Goffe, E. Sutherland, and Judge Butler.

'•OLD GUN" .PRCOEST— It was resolved that Mr Jqimos Bull be written to asking why he -had'<imisled the judicial committee in regard to his horse having qomneted in race events within six months of date of show.

DA TIC OF MEETING.— -Mr Mason privc 1 notice of motion that the monthly meeting be held on the second Tuesday in the month, at 7.30 p.m., instead of Wednesday, .as heretofore.
