The American Skating. Eink was 1 opened at the Drill Hall last evening, and judging by the interest displayed the popular winter pastime promises to prove great attraction in Wanganui. The skates have just been landed ftom America, and run very smoothly. Mr Len Ford, the manager, informed us that all pupils will receive every attention at the hands of the instructor, who seems to be able to do anything he likes on the rollers. The riuk will be opened again this afternoon and to-night, when a large attendance is expected. To save any disappointment to skaters, the management have decided to open the doors early, as there are only a limited number of skates. Ladies will be admitted for sixpence, which includes skates.
