Madamoisclle Dolotes, always very guarded in praising , .aspirants tor musical fame, was very complimentary to our coming visitor, . and predicts a great future for her. The Southland Times, referring to a recent appearance of Miss Murphy in liuvercargiU, says: — The attraction oi the evening was Miss Amy .Murphy, of Dunedin, This '•young lady is the fortnuate possessor of an exceptionally fine spprano .voice^ — one of the bast- that has been heard in the local haji,-. and. .one "which has the charm of- freshness. The ease with- which Miss Murphy executed I • florid passages was a revelation .to many. Demonstrative applause followed' each of Miss Murphy's items, and the lady met with a -most flatjkcrJLOg.' reception.
