Pair Matches. — Greig and Ashton play J. Paterson and Rowley, Zander and Lough, play. Sheriff and Hemus, Bridge and Campbell play Fountain, and Hean, Gr. Paterson "and Faber play Milne and Willis, 21-, liott 'and- Thorpe play Bleasil and. Tuck. The second round for each tournament mus.t be concluded by January 9. Several full, rink matches were played during the afternoon, the most interesting being that between the players who ar.e to^tepresent the club at Palmerston in the tournament and a .strong combination lo test their capabilities. The representative tyjani -are— Zander, Perrett, Ross, and Rodwell (skip). They were opposed by G. Paterson, Elliott, J. Paterson, and Bennie, who put together 12 points whilst the reps, made 25.
