WANGANUI RIVER SERVICE. 14ORE FREQUENT SERVICE> TTNDER arrangement with the Postal *_J and Tcntisc Traffic Department, Messrs Hatrick and Co. will, on and after the 16th instant, increase the Biver Steamer Service between Wanganui and Pipiriki from a bi-weekly, to a tri-weekly one. From the above dates Messrs Hatrick and Co.'s steamers will leave Wanganui every Tuesday, Thursday, . and Saturday, for Pipiriki, returning the following days. The coaches from Pipiriki to the Hot Lakes will also, be tri-weekly, connecting with Messrs Hatrick and Co.'s River Steamers. This mote frequent service, it- is hoped, will induce a greater number of people to travel, and will also enable a larger number of people touring- New Zealand to do the wanganui Eiver, which a bi-weekly serrice does not always fit in for. - As soon us Messrs Hatrick and Co.'s fine 15-knot Jboat, now being put together, is ready, the trip to Tipirilri will be reduced by several hours, and probably during the height of the tourist season a daily service will be run.
