A Suggested Federal Contingent.
Received November 25, 9.30 a.m. .- MELBOURNE, November 25.- . Despito Premier Barton's announcement that no more ' Australian Contingents would be sent to South Africa, •the. several State 'commandants have been unofficially endeavouring to obtain a reconsideration of the matter. The South Australian commandant suggests that a thousand men should be offered on behalf of the Commonwealth. The feeling of the Commonwealth authorities are unfavourable to sending them. Mr Irvine moves a censure motion in ■ the Stato Assembly to-morrow.
