THE MAWBY MURDERERS.
STATEMENT BY JACKEY UNDERWOOD. FURTHER OUTRAGES BY THE BLACKS. Received August 23, 12.35 a.m. SYDNEY, August 22. Jackey Underwood, committed for trial on a charge of murdering the Mawbys, gave a lengthy account of tho tvagedy, and admitted participating. Ho struck one of the girls, 'but did not kill her. He said Jimmy Governor did all tho killing. Jinimv afterwards wanted to kill his wife and child and Jackey Porter. He declared that he meant to be the biggest murderer in Australia, i The murderers last night fired several shots at the house of a settler, and robbed a couple of others.
