THE BOER POSITION.
THE ENEMY SUPPOSED TO BE SHORT OF AMMUNITION. Received January 23, at 9.30 a.m. DURBAN, January 22. The Boers held another semi-circular position on tho main ridge at Spionkop, behind tho one they evacuated. Lord Dundonald holds the approach at OHverahoop Pass. Tho Boers, in the recent fighting, showed less tenacity, seldom Ufiing cannon. It is suspected tlioy are short of ammunition.
