MELBOURNE, October IG. Drama has been scratched for tho Melbourne Cup. Caulfield Cup betting — 8 to 1 against Scorn and Dfcwey, 10 to 1 Mora, 14 to 1 Egypt and Dirlc Hammerhaud. On tho track to-day Gauleon beat Alemero and Reviver in a gallop over 11 furlong". The last mile and a quarter was accomplished in 2min 18sec. Merry Pilgrim went over a similar .distance, the last ten furlongs occupying 2miu 2(Rsec. Gnullo swept over nine furlongs in 2min 4isec, and Mora ran a milo and a quarter in 2inin 24sec.
