BRITANNIA v. COLLEGE I.

Played on tho College Ground. The College went first to tile Wickets, but gave a rather disappointing display. Gillies and Maunscli opened, Gordon find Delves bowling. When the latter batsman had scored six he was splendidly taken at square-leg- by Taylor, off Delves. Hewitt, followed, but Bullock held a catch, and accepted another shortly afterwards from Wilder. Excepting Beetham and Gillies, no doublcfiguro scores were registered, and the innings closed for the small total of 55. Tho Britannias opened well, the first four wickets all scoring. K. n. Cave played vigorous cricket, but rather too much inclined to "slog." The innings closed with 84- on the board, thus giving a lead of 29 runs. The College in their second essay have- lost four wickets, and are still in a deficoncy of thrco runs. Gillies again played good cricket. COLLEGE I. First Innings.
