Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) lave received the following London cable, dated 12th October, 1899:— Frozen Meats — Mutton market quiet. Canterbury mutton is worth 3id per lb, Wellington 3Jd. Lamb market quiet Wellington 3Jd. Lamb market weak. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase 4Jd per lb. Beef market firm. New Zealand beef forequarters • are worth 3d per lb, hindquarters 3£d. Wheat— -Market firm. New Zealand average wheat is worth 31s 6d per 496 lbs, long-berried 325. * Oats— Market firm. Now Zealand oata in granary have advanced 3d por eight bushels since last report. Tallow — Market slightly weaker.
