Haweba, March 15. Wo held our supplementary sheep fair on the 18th iust., when close on 30,000 sheep were yarded. With tho exception of lambs and weaners all other classes ruled a shade lower than at the previous fair. At Eltham on the 21st inst., considerably more than Jbe quantity advertised came forward, but the competition was not keen. At Hawera, on the 24th inst., the yards were well filled with both cattle and sheep, ■with not much inquiry for the former ; most of the sheep being disposed of at late rates. Wo quote— At sheep fair— Shorn lambs, 3s 3d to 3s lOd ; good ewe lambs, 5s ld ; cull shorn lambs, 2s 6d to 8s ; woolly lambs, 4s Gd to 4s lOd ; poorer sorts, 8s to 3s 9d ; Wethers, 7s 9d ; crossbred wethers, 6s 6d to 7s 3d; 2- tooth ewes, 6s to 7s 6d ; 4-tooth ewes, 7s to 7s 6d ; 4-year Napier ewes, 6s to 63 lid ; other sorts, 3s 6d to ss ; fat ewes, 6s 3d to 6s 6d ; cull ewes, 2s to 3s ; 2-tooth mixed classes, 5s 9d to Ga 6d ; 2-tooth Lincoln rams, 1J gs. At Eltham— Fat and forward cows, £2 7s to £2 9s ; forward cows £1 18s to £2 ; yearlings to 18-months steers, 20s to 22s 6d; 18-months steers, 24s to 25s ; 2i-year quiet heifers in calf, 28s Gd to 32s Gd ; 2}year steers, £2 7s ; weaners, 7s to 9s ; store cows, 20s 6d to 22s 6d ; yearling heifera, 12a to 14s; springers, £2 10s to £3.
