There was splendid weather and a good attendance (the best for years) at the first day of the above meeting. The coarse was in splendid order. Results : ' Hurdles : Bhoderiok Dhn 1, Sovereign 2, Lady dOr 3. Dividend, £1 10s. " Maiden Eace: Sylph 1, Ejeotor 2, Tamatea 3. Dividend, £2. E.C. Handicap : Hillstone 1, Singsong 2, Gladstone 3. Dividend, £3 12s. Hack Challenge Stakes : lota 1, Wish 2, Objector 3. Dividend, £2 18s. Welter : Bight Metal 1, Hon. George 2, Louis Puritan £3 2s. Trot : Creeping Jenny 1, Tarantella 2t2 t Tussock 3. Dividend, £10 4s. Flying: Singsong 1, lota 2, Bight Metas 3. Dividends, £3 2s. During tha day £1680 passed through the machine.
