BOWLING.

Feilding y. Wanganui.

In our last impression we gave particulars as to the progress of the above return match, which at that juncture was greatly in favour of Wanganui, for the latter were 23 to the good. When 25 heads had been called, the local players had still further increased their majority they eventually winning by 90 to 49, or 47 ahead. The scores aro appended :— Feildino. ' Wanoandi. No. 1 Eink. Curtis May Bailey Benefield Thomson Puinall Biay (skip) — Eodwell (sk) — No. 2 Eink. Haybitttle Thomson Dickson Spurdle Scott Armstrong Youn» (sk) — McFarlane A. (sk)— 28 25 No. -3 Eink. Johnston Dickson Goodbehere Elliott Sandilands Moult Siywell (ek) Bennie (sk) 8 40 The figures above speak for themselves and it is noticeable that in only one rink (No. 2) was Wanganui beaten, and that by only a narrow majority of three. As honours are now, bo to say, easy, a final will have to be played before the season closes. During the afternoon tea and dainty refreshments were dispensed by Mrs and Miss Spurdle, and as usual, the hospitality extended was heartily appreciated. Mr Eoawcll has made arrangements with the owners of the Stormbird for the transport of the bowlers to Nelson at Easter.
