(Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, March 24. The return cricket niatoh Southland v Otago was commenced to-day. Otago going in first scored 233, of whioh Broad scored 84 by good but not chanceless cricket, Liggins 44, Seideberg, 37, Hope 15 and Bakei 14. Southland's first innings realised 127, of which Kane made 35, Purdue 31, and King3land 35. Having to follow on, two wickets fell before stumps were drawn for a total of two runs.
