Wool and Skin Sales.
Murray, Roborts and Co. report as follows :—: — We offered 50 bales and bags ft wool and 900 skius at to-day's fortnightly sale. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was spirited. No choice lots of wool were forward and our catalogue consisted chiefly of lambs' wool and straggling fleeces. We quote :— Medium crossbred Gd to 6Jd per lb, heavy and inferior do. 4Jd to sd, bright free lambs' wool 6d to 6Jd, inferior 4sd to sd, pieces 2Jd to 4d. The bulk of the skins were lambs' and pelts, and for these we are able to report an advance on late rates ; lambs selling from Is 3d to. Is 9d for best and 6d to Is for light weights, while woolly pelts (well saved) sold at Is 2d to Is 5d each, and good bare pelts at 5d to Bd. Our next sale will be held on Friday, Ist April. Wellington, 15th March.
