Victorians Defeated by Seven Wickets.

The weather was dull and the wicket soft for tho cricket match, Bruce retired, hurt from a blow off Richardson. Layer got 19 together before the innings closed, but Ranjit missed an easy chance of him early in the game. Tho Englishmen hit out freely, but it was iot till three wickets were down for 82 that Ranjit and Hayward got together that anything like big hitting was seen. These two played brilliantly, and soon had the required number of runs up, the Englishmen thus winning by seven wickota. The following are the scores : — VicioniA — Second innings.
