The above teams met in an association match on Cook's Gardens yesterday after- •■ noon. The Wanganui vice-captain, won the toss, and he and his merry men monopolised the whole of the afternoon batting, the last wicket falling just before the call of time with the soore at 235. The United bowling was severely handled by three of the Caves and Cresswell, but the other members of the team were not so successful. Kenneth Cave was in excellent form, although he had an early life, and had hard luok in not reaching a century, although he carried out bia bat for 94.
