HIGHER EDUCATION.
Mr J. Ot. Anderson's Opinion. (By Rlectrio Telegraph— Copyright). (Per Ui>itec) Press Ar ociation ) Hjjisbanb, October 21. Mr J. G. Anderson, U.A., Under-Seoi-otary of the Department of Public Instruction, who recently visited Sydney for the pmpDse of inquiring into the pyßtem ot Higher eduoation in vogue thtre, speaks highly of the training, but cays a largo number of locally-reared and woll-educated nnder-jraduateß are quite usable to find congenial employment. Thus, he thinks, there is a tendency to form a class mentally disqualified to earn a living under the conditions of the tinme, acd that there will be produced a danger to the Stata from a large and " educated ptolet»riat."
