At the National Bifle Association meeting to-day in the Jaequ.eß match, McGregor was seventh and won a £& prize, October 22. The report of the Parliamentary solect committee favours the construction of a tnnnel in preference to a bridge for connecting Sydney with North Sydney, and recommends that if the Government intend to oarry out tho work in a reasonable time they should not grant concessions to any private syndicate.
