HOSPITAL BOARD.
The New Building Taken Over from the Contractors. A speoial meeting of tbe Wanganui District (Tospital Board was helcj this morning, for the purpose of taking over the new Hospital from tbe contractors. 'There were present— M»i»rj A. J. Parsons (onairmao), J. Laird, W. Ritchie, B. K. Simpson, E. N. Liffilon, J. P. Letbbridge, E. Newman, and A. Simpson. Mr Atkins, the architeot for the Hospital, was also in attendance. On tho architect's certificate being redd as to tbe completion of the building with tho exception of one or two minor details, tbe Board adjourßed to the new Hospital and formally took over the building on tbe architect's certificate, on the motion of Mr A. J. Parsons, seoonded by Mr E. Newman. The members expressed themselves' as very pleased at the capable and conscientious manner in whioh the work had been carried out. It was decided to invite His Excellency the Governor to perform the oponing ceremony. t* —
