Recovery of the Bodies.

Last night the bottom of the open quarry showed a subsidence of several feet, and the smoke has evidently reached the stoped ground below. . Steam and water are being poured in again unoeasingly, and it has now boen decided to use carbonic acid gas, which will be introduced in the old shaft. As a precaution against possible evil effaots, the managers of the adjoining mine* were advised of its use to-day. , Carbonio aoid g»s is being_ pumped into th« mine on fire at Broken Hill. The whole of the bodies of eight of the men entombed in the El Dorado mine hare been recoyared,
