Hospital Board.
The meeting of the Hospital Beard was held on the conclusion of the Charitable Aid Board Meeting, the sasae members being present with the addition of Messrs Ritohie and Liffiton.
After the minutes had been read and confirmed the bank book (produced) showed a credit balance of £606 9s 2d.
Inward and outward correspondence was read, also the medical report. The Utter stated that during the month thero had been 20 patients admitted, 18 discharged, 8 died, 8 accidents, 2 operations performed, and 11 patients were at present in the institution all doing well. Mr Roskiuge, through Mr Simpson, desired to thank the Hospital staff for the kindness he had received while an inmate
Re eleotrio lighting at the new Hospital —A letter was read from Dr Lemon in reply to one sent by Mr Parsons, regretting that he could not undertake the work of testing the light as he had removed to Palmerston stud his instruments were nnpaoked, but would not see the Board at a loss for an inspeotor if no one else could be got. Mr Turnbull has instruments and there was no doubt he would make tests for his own credit. & Mr Turnbull would arrange to test in his (Dr Lemon's) presence he oould satisfy himself as to the other by personal inspection. Dr Lemon added that as it was for the Hospital his fee would be nil. In commenting on the letter, the Chairman said it was a very satisfactory one, and moat generous, and on the motion of Mr Laird, Mr Parsons was requested to reply thanking Dr Lemon for his courtesy and aooepting his kind offer.
Accounts amounting to £132 8* lOd were passed for payment, and the Board ad•joarned. _____________
