A NATIVE QUARREL.

» ffSaye yesterday's Adyooatc:— During the last few days there has been some rather serious quarrelling amongst the tribes at Parewanui, which on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday resulted in freo fights. The quarrel is over the right of certain parties to train their horses on the Parewanui raoscourse, and aa attempt to ejeot the supposed offender*. On Friday the quarrel readied its climax, when fch« " big talk " culminated in a free fight. The belligerents, headed by Wirihana Hunia and Mohi Ropiha fought on horseback with- stick*. ■ The fight was started at the bsok of the Parewanui bn*h, and during the struggle the parties traversed the landhilli to the back of the Parewanui school. Some very aevere outs and bruise* were received in the enoouater, Wilion Hunia eapeoially being badly out about the head. Theraoehorse Marama and two young bloods were injured in the fight. Constable Gleeaon was sent for, and on arrival found nearly all the Native* on the disputed ground, and a lively diaouiaion going on. He ordered them to disperse at once, or ho would aend for auistance and have them all arrested. They dispersed, but on Sunday and Monday were out again with firearm* and ammunition. Yesterday, however, one of the partie* came to Marton to take out summonses, *o very likely tho affair is about over.
