At 2 o'elook the weather had oleared beautifully, but the going is very heavy. Time, 2min 68100. Dividend, £6 4*. Egmont Steeplechase— Roeoius (12.8) 1, Bootle* (10.6) 2, Raven (9.8) 8. Union Jack, Parnell, and Austral also started. Union Jack fell during the second round, and Parnell and Austral baulked. Raven and Booties fell at ths last jump when the latter was leading.
