A public meeting in London, which was largely attended, carried resolutions calling upon the Government to interfere in the Armenian difficulty. Mr Gladstone, in a vigorous letter, states that Turkey has apparently resolved to procure her own ruin. He Hoped that England, or jointly with the Great Powers, would use force if necessary to prevent a repetition of the deeds of shame.
