Their suspicions aroused, an examination wa3 made, and their horror may be imagined when they found the tins of arsenic and aoid close together. By this time, too, the poison had commenced its work, and going for help was out of the question. Soon &U were down, and for thirty hours they lay retohing, vomiting, and exhausted on the floor of the hut. At this time they wore unable to aesist either themselves or one another in any way, and their pitiable condition may be imagined." There ia co doubt the overdose prevented lots of life.
