Double Bill To-night for Farewell Performance.

Mr Bentley's season concludes to-night, when the most successful double bill of the tour will be presented, The porformanoe will open with that charming comedy " Garriok, or Lnvs and Honour," and in whioh Mr Bentley will assume the title role. The piece' is justly considered one of his best impersonations, and is, moreover, brimful of wholesome fun and frolio, combined with which are sterling moral lessons! It will be followed by that very humourous Scotch and historical farce, " Oramond Brig or the King and the Miller," a play whioh is almost considered a standard work in Scotland, and as " Jock Howieson " (the miller), Mr Bentley plays it " as to the manner born," giving his countrymen an opportunity that should not be missed of bearing him speak the mother tongue, of which he is an undoubted roaster. The situation* that abound throughout the farce— it ought more particularly to be classed higher than that — are comical in the extreme, and the fun evolved from some ludicrous dialogue and by-play effervesces and bubbles over in a manner so rapid and spontaneous as to keep the audience in a constant simmer of mirth interspersed with uproarious laughter. We confidently expect to see another bumper house at tho Drill Hall to-ni^ht to bid farewell for the time being to an actor and a gentleman who has made such hosts of frionds during a season that has been all too short for tlio3e who love to ice a play produced by a thoroughly good company. At the conclusion of tbe performance, we understand, Mr Bentley will address a few words on the subject of the establishment of a rogular thentrn for Wanganui. A want that is no doubt felt very much by travailing organisations such as Mr Bentley's.
