NEW PLYMOUTH.
Octobor 16.
A largo mooting, convened by the Mayor, wm held last evening respecting connecting Auckland and Taranaki by roads, when a resolution was passed to urge on the Government the necessity of immediately con* structing a good coach road from Stratford, via the East Road by tho line already aurvoyed to the central railway route, and that a branch road be similarly constructed by tho Mimi North Road until they intersect the central. A committee was appointed to carry out the resolution.
