Mr Brand, in the Radical interest, has been elected for Wisbeach by a majority of 260 over Mr Duncan, the Tory candidate. In the appeal osse, the Rev. Mr McLeod v. the Attorney-General of New South Wales, the conviction of the former, who was arrested in New Zealand for bigamy, was qnaihed with costs, on the ground of want of jurisdiction.
