MONTHLY RETURN FOR THE
COLONY.

The Customs revenue collected in tho colony during last month was £128,618 as against £128,787 for September, and £117,667 for Ootobor, 1889. Last, month Auokland contributed t28,23G j Wellington, £24,088; Lytfcelton and Chriitehurob £21,481 j and Dunedin, £28,063. The total for the seven months of tho financial year is £882,467, being £19,134 over tho Treasurer's estimate for that period. The beer duty for the colony last month was £4091; for Soptembor, £4654; and for October, 1889, £5090. Auckland paid £1149, Wollington £544, Ohristchurch £1044, and Dunodin £1065. For the sevon months tho total was £30,571, showing a deficit of £928 as compared with tho estimate,
