"LeX" in Beply.
-j- ' HO TH* BOITOBi SlB, — I would not again trouble yon had aot the editor of the P«t«a County Press replied, if it can be called a reply, in a very coarse and uncalled for way of writing. " Nona but a thoroughly immoral mmd" are his words, "The following choice specimen of a letter " ate the words of che editor and judge. I wish I could say the same of his writing, as his letter is anything bnt choice. H:s mind must be muoh warped, as no impnrity was implied in any part of my former letter 1 Now for a few worda of truth in answer to his bushel of suppositions. The rhymes he judged, and at once let one acquit tho hon. secretaries, and saddle the light horse, ooupled the names of several laoiei and gentlemen in an unwarrantable •nd impertinent manner, and what might be fun in a drawing-room, became anything but a joke when read publicly, and taken up and repeated in the streets by tha larrikin element always to be found in publio meetings. Thanking you for your courtesy in inserting my letteis, I consider yoar columns too valuable to be occupied by a continuation of this discussion, and ■■ however diffusely the Editor of the Patea County Press may write, aud so fill bin paper, I shall not again reply.— l am,&c., "Lex."
