WELLINGTON.
January 7. A man named Andrew John Fisher was drowned in the river near Martinborongh while endeavouring to get some cattle across. "At the Snpreme Court, Henry Herbert Hurst, on three charges of forgery and uttering, received four years' penal servitude on each indiotment, term* to be concurrent. Uriah J. Williams, for indecent aseault, received two years' hard labour; Charles Watson, for indecent assault, with A three previous convictions against him of ~ indecent exposure, four years' penal servitude. The second trial of the man Egan, for breaking and entering, ia now proceeding, and is the last on the criminal list. -
