In reference to ths work given out to be done at a reduction of 2d, Mr Hannah auya that hitherto he has bean pay. ing 6d more than other houses. The men then left without a moment's notice, bu.t afterwarda deairing to finish certain, work on whioh they were engaged he declined to permit them to do bo.

It is aaid that a depuration from the workmon on atrikeat R. Hannah and CoY, endeavoured to wait upon the employeea iv another larga boot warehouse in the oily this morning with a view of oeoarlng their co-operation, bnt were frustrated by not being permitted to enter the workshop. At present Hannah and Co. 'a hands are the only ones on strike.
