Mr Parker reported that a bridge had been carried away along the Makirikiri road, .and it was resolved that another be erected opposite the Bchoolhouse, Mr Parker to prepare the plans. Mr A. Mason wrote, calling attention to the necessity for making the approaches to the wire over the Mangawhero, and the maintenance man was instructed to see to the matter. The clerk WPS instructed to write to tho County Council asking why the rates collected within the district had not been paid to tho Board's fund as promised, as the Board had not yet received any reply to their application to be allowed to collect their own rates. It was resolved that outstanding rates be sued for without further delay. Some small matters received attention, and the Board then adjourned.
