(seuter's telegrams), Rooeived June 4, 1 p.m. THE LY-EE-MOON DISASTER. Sydney, Juno 4— lt is announced that it is also intended to prosecute the captain of the Ly-ee-moon for manslaughter, Up to the presont time eleven bodies have been recovered from the wreck' A steamer bringing survivors is expected to reach Sydney to-day. Further details regarding the inqueat on the Ly-ee-moon disaster state that Captain Lake, in his evidence, expressed the opinion that the wreck was caused by sheer careless* ness on the part of Mr Fotheringham, the second officer, who waß in charge of the deck at the time of the striking. Mr Fotheringham, on the other hand, asserts that the captain waa in charge of the ship at tho time, and that he received the course to be steered from him. The evidence is of a very conflicting nature throughout. POLITICAL. The Committee of the Legislative Assembly has adopted v resolution affirming in prin* ciple the desirability of introducing a Land Tax, The San Franoisco Mail Contract is also adopted.
