On Saturday afternoon Mr Chrietison, baker, lost a horse and a lot of bread near Kennedy's, The horse it appears jibbed on leaving the punt on Kennedy's side of tho river, and kept backing until it backed right into the river. The cart was got out again but the horse was drowned. We understand that the animal had only been purchased a few days and this was ita first trial in the baker's cart.
