AUCKLAND.
The following resolution was passed at Tattersalls re the late steeplechase : — That all wagers made on the course on the steeplechase on Friday, must have a start for the money on Saturday.
Woods, of Dunedin, has issued a challenge to run Pickering or any man in New Zealand for the championship of the colony and £'200 aside,
The City Council has decided to call for tenders for the erection of an Art Gallery in Auckland, at an estimated cost of £21,000.
