Bi ckley, (for Minister having charge of Marino Department.] Exhibition of Leading Lights,, Blu^f Harbor, — Marine Department, Wellington, N.Z., 28th December, 1884.— 'I he Bluff Harbor Board have given notice that, on and after the Ist January? 1885, there will be exhibited at Bluff Harbor a leadiug-light ou each of the two dolphjns by *day. The eastern,- or outer one, will be a fixed red light, and the western, or inner ono, a' fixed green light* These lights are to be brought in line v\ hen abreast the Perch buoy, ofl To Waewae Point, and so maintained until the two-red lights on main wharf are brought in line, When the course may be altered either direct to the wharf or an anchorage off it. The above Jjghts have been erected for the purpose of enabling vessels to enter the harbor at night, and lead through tl.e worst part of the entrance channel, that is from abreast tho Perch buoy to a cable's length above tho lightship.
