To start at 1.45 p.m. 5, Manawaiu Eacino Club Handicap, ot 200 soys ; second horse to received 25 soys from the stakes; nominations, 3 eovs ; acceptance, 7 soys ; distance, 1£ miles ; the winner of any handicap to the value of 100 soys after the declaration of weights to carry 71b extra. No entry will be received for any Race except upon this condition, — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objectionb arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majoiity of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upou all points connected with the carrying out of this programme Bhall be final. All Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, J almerston North. Entrance Money enclosed with Name, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, in the case of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of the owner, and Colors of the Ri<;er. Any Jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined 8 soys. When two or more horses stai .the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Color mu6t be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give Notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half • hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the Race Fund. All races to be run under the VY.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the Stakes. No horse to save his stake in any race except where otherwise specified. No >utries or Nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time epeolieci for closing.
