OUR VOLUNTEERS.
The annual District Prize-firing tpok place on the rifle range this morning, when fifty* five Volunteers competed. The following were the vrizetakera :—
A protest was entered against MoGonagle for using 1883 powder in place of the 1871 supplied to the other shootera, but it has since been withdrawn. DRUM-MAJOR MOOSKMAN's MEDAL, > - The following handicaps have been mide' ' for the medal competition by the Qarrigin Band on Saturday. The ranges are 200 and 500 yards, 7 Bhots'at each range : Baridinitm, Mobaeman, scratch,; Sergeants Richardson and Crichton, Corporal Anderson, Bandsmen Signal and Coakley, 6 point«; Bandsmen ' Hall and Steiß, 8 ; Bandsmen Wallace and AdamsoD, 9; Corporal Russell, Bandsmen Couts, Hood, Henley, ; Criohton, Towhsend, and Newman, 12.
