AUCKLAND.
December 12,
Captain Wing, harbormaster at Onehunga, formerly in charge of the pilot station, at Port Philip, has a book showing that on February the 2nd, 1853, a . three-masted schooner called the Ospreyweut into Port Philip, going out again, on June the 12th of the same year. The captain states that he. remembers perfeotly well that the Osprey was Btated to have picked up a boat at sea.
