Barometer — Rise at all places within 12 hours. Sea — Very heavy on both coast south of Napier and New Plymouth after 12 hours. Warnings for galea as above indicated have ' been sent to all stations. • .. Synopsis ov last twenty-four hours. — • Southward of Kaikoura and Hokitika the -barometer commenced to fall on Saturday afternoon,and has continued to fall steadily, but in all other parts of the country it rose slowly until midnight oh Saturday, and since then has fallen steadily. There has ■ a hard northerly gale with rain at most places south of Napier and New Plymouth. it. A. Edwin.
