The Revs. H. E. Copinger of Palmerston North, and E. Whitebouse of Patea are gazetted officiating ministers under the Marriage Act 1 880.
The case of McDonnell and Brassey v Chas. Cooke, for pertain native work, was concluded, this being the third day of its hearing. The R.M. dissallowed items amounting altogether to £11 17s sd, remarking in connection with some of the particulars, that the evidence was so directly conflicting that he could not take it on himself to say, which side was correct. A set-off entered for five guineas, and £4 3s 9d was disallowed, and the R.M. gave judgment for £5 10a 9d»with costs of Court I9s. The original claim was £17 8s 2d. !
