March 16. > Maunsell has been released on bail. Both the Judge and Registrar of the Supreme Court now being absent, it has caused .considerable inconvenience in legal business.
The Customs revenue here this week (£8905) is the largest week's receipts ever known in this port.
Ihe plans for the new Government Printing Office will be prepared immediately, and tenders invited.
March 17.
The usual monthly assemblage of the Parihaka natives is taking place to-day. Altogether, there are about 200 visitors present, making a total at Parihaka of 900. The proceedings are of the most orderly character.
